I've conquered for Cancer Council
Walking for my dear friend, A
This October I will be walking the 28km 7 bridges Cancer Council walk. I have walked it for almost every year it has been running and each year I dedicate my walk to someone. This year I am walking for my dear friend, A.
A collapsed at work and was rushed to hospital. Along with three broken ribs, they discovered a tumor the size of a tennis ball on his brain. One large operation and an induced coma later, A is now almost finished with radiotherapy and about to start chemo.
He is taking good care of himself, is in good spirits and has even been heading into work some days.
He calls us every day and tells us he loves us. We tell him how much we love him too.
This year, please consider sponsoring my walk for A. The Cancer Council performs a terrific job caring for those who are impacted by cancer. From funding research and crucial information for patients, to organising transport to hospitals, their work brings much needed care and expertise to all who need it.
