Heather Winter

I've conquered for Cancer Council

I’m walking for a cancer free future for myself and for all of us impacted by cancer.

I’m taking on the 7 Bridges Walk on Sunday 20 October 2024 and will be walking 28km around Sydney Harbour.

One year ago I was diagnosed with cancer. Being told you have cancer is traumatic and has a significant impact on everyone around you. Exercise is one of the few proven ways of reducing cancer risk and improving your outcome if diagnosed. Medical research and advances in treatment are making a difference to outcomes and I am fortunate to be on a targeted treatment that is currently holding my cancer at bay.

Please sponsor me and help those affected by cancer. All funds raised will help Cancer Council NSW work towards the vision of a cancer free future. Thank you for your support! 💛

So far this year I’ve helped provide:

53 kids with a SunSmart education

or

36 calls to trained cancer professionals on 13 11 20

or

11 days of a PHD student’s world-class research

Thank you to my Sponsors
